 ENERGY INFORMATICS

The road taken and the potential gains in the use of information technology in the energy field that can be taken are the main topic of this session. Exploration of oil and gas is a workspace with low discovery possibility and high costs. The cost threshold can start from a few million dollars and go up to a hundred million dollars according to land / sea conditions and drilling depth. Although many local softwares are used, oil exploration is an area where human labor and attention is very important. Because, the operating form of exploration tool and devices are not yet integrated with each other. However, the number of sectorial solutions in oil and gas exploration is growing with each passing day. Sectorial solution softwares integrated with institutional resource softwares commit to give the real cost of one gallon of oil in an instant. On the other hand, exploration, production and drilling devices are ensured to talk to each other/to operate integrated with the development of Remote Control and Observation Systems and many financial losses overlooked due to inability of measurement or human attention can be avoided. The contribution of softwares which are developed regarding oil and gas exploration and can operate integrated with KKY systems to the productivity and the dimensions that the sectorial solutions can have with technologies such as M2M in the near future will be discussed in these presentation and panels.
